Meet the Doctors:
Hello, I'm Dr. Shawn Pomeroy. I'm married to Kathleen and we have three wonderful children. My passion for chiropractic began in high school after I was injured playing soccer. Headaches and neck problems followed this injury. This is when I began to see a chiropractor on a regular basis. Immediately I noticed positive health changes and I continue to get adjusted weekly by the same chiropractor.
I have been a chiropractor for thirteen years and just celebrated my seventh anniversary as owner of my own practice. With regular chiropractic care and a healthy lifestyle many of my patients are attaining and maintaining their best health. Chiropractic is also sucessful with numerous conditions such as migraines, arthritis, ear infections, colic, digestive problems, carpal tunnel, heel spurs, weakened immune system, bed wetting, hearing problems and many more.
Contact us with your health questions or concerns, I would be glad to talk with you.
Good day! I’m Dr. Kyle York. I am blessed with my wonderful fiancée Chelsea; we share two amazing children, Angel and Kaleigh. I am a Derby native and returned here to practice after graduating from Cleveland Chiropractic College in December 2006. I joined the Pomeroy Chiropractic Wellness team in September of 2011 and I practice at the Derby location Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I utilize both manual adjusting and the Activator. I love to educate and currently instruct Anatomy and Physiology courses at the Wichita Area Technical College.
The human experience is amazing, thought there are many aspects of it that are yet unknown. I get excited to learn about the human experience as well as share what I know with others. Chiropractic focus on the body, mind, and wellness of the individual, it is paramount to understand these focal points when treating dis-ease of the body which if left unchecked may lead to disease. It is my pleasure to serve others and increase the quality of one’s life not just a quantity of it.
Dr. Josh Grammer is our newest doctor and works at the Derby office. He graduated from Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis, Missouri in April 2011. Dr. Josh will be working Monday through Friday at the Derby office and primarily does manual adjusting.
Meet the Staff:
Kathleen: While in nursing school I began my chiropractic care. I was suffering with nerve pain in my leg from being on my feet for long periods of time as well as tingling in my arms from shoulder stress. Within a few weeks my pain and tightness were gone. After researching chiropractic benefits I continued with care. I get weekly adjustments to maintain my good health. Over the years I've noticed improvements in my quality of sleep and my immune system is near perfect. I work at the hospital one day a week but I'm rarely sick even though I'm around sick people. I attribute this to my chiropractic care because it boosts my immune system. My three children have all been adjusted regularly since birth and they are seldom ill. I love sharing chiropractic with my friends and family or anyone that will listen. I also enjoy working in this healthy and happy environment.
Rebecca: My chiropractic experience started late in life. I was very anti-chiropractic until I became desperate with migraines. Even though I didn't think that chiropractic care would help me...it did! I had quit a job that I loved because of daily migraines. The medical doctor was treating me but I still had a dull headache daily. After receiving chiropractic care for two weeks I saw a drastic change in my health. That was almost 13 years ago and I still get regular chiropractic care. I'm healthier than I've been since my 20's and I've done nothing other than chiropractic care and learning to make healthier choices. I love working with Dr. Pomeroy and the rest of the staff. I came out of retirement to work part time because I believe in chiropractic and Dr. Pomeroy is the best there is.
Dawna: My first experience with chiropractic care was several years ago. I was in a car accident and had been advised to see a chiropractor for my injuries. Although I wasn't completely sure about chiropractic care, my experience was overall a positive one. As I got older, my perception of health care changed and I realized that by taking better care of myself I could prevent a lot of illness and even some injuries. Because of this change, I adopted a healthier lifestyle and recently I returned to school in pursuit of a degree in Massage Therapy. Currently, I am attending Butler County Community College and will receive certification in massage therapy in December of this year. As a part of the team at Pomeroy Chiropractic Wellness, I hope to help others discover the benefits of a healthy lifestyle!
